JusticeReach provides legal information, not legal advice. Every substantive statement in the platform is grounded in a primary source — the West Virginia Code, West Virginia court rules, SCAWV opinions, WV Constitution, DCR directives and WV Code Chapter 15A, and (where federal law applies) Titles 18 and 28 U.S.C., the Federal Rules, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, Fourth Circuit opinions, and the local rules of the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia.
Content is reviewed by Olubunmi Kusimo-Frazier, Esq. — a West Virginia attorney with more than 20 years of WV criminal defense practice, including prior service as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and Deputy Counsel at the WV Supreme Court of Appeals. Required limitation disclosures (§4.2)
Justice is required to deliver these disclosures verbatim whenever their trigger is met. Category A appears in every conversation.

- BJurisdictional variation
- Triggered when a question depends on county-, circuit-, or judge-specific practice.
- CTemporal limitation
- Triggered when the answer states current law. Anchors the answer to the last-reviewed date and directs users to confirm before acting on a deadline.
- DFact-specific limitation
- Triggered when the user shares facts about their own case. Explains that application to those facts requires an attorney.
- EFederal vs. state proceedings
- Triggered when the answer differs under federal versus West Virginia law.
- FPost-conviction & habeas — delivered before substance
- Triggered by habeas, § 2254, § 2255, post-conviction, or appeal-deadline topics. The disclosure appears above any substantive content in the same message.
- GIncarcerated persons & DCR policy
- Triggered by prison-conditions, grievance, or DCR-directive questions.
How we audit ourselves
- Every Justice exchange is de-identified and captured for internal legal review. Raw questions are never stored — only a scrubbed version.
- The triggered disclosure categories for each exchange are recorded alongside the response, so we can verify the model actually delivered what §4.2 required.
- Captured exchanges are prioritized for attorney review by a risk score (high-liability categories, redactions, review flags) and a volume score (how often a category recurs).
